SMART™ Elementary Content Creation Summit

With the use of technology becoming such an integral part of our educational world, partnering with SMART Technologies™, CCS Presentations Systems is looking to create a unique professional development opportunity in the area of SMART product integration. Our goal is to bring educators from across the state of Arizona together allowing time to collaborate and create SMART content that can be used to accelerate learning for today's students. At this event, CCS's Certified Training Specialists, along with a SMART Educational expert, will take elementary educators who have a passion for technology to a new level. Participants at this event will work collaboratively and effectively to create standard-based lessons that specifically revolve around the SMART Technologies they have in their classrooms.

The Summit is NOT a training workshop. It is designed to be 2 full-days of content creation-allowing educators to discover how to create professional, interactive, and sharable lesson activities for the SMART Notebook software. Participants will be grouped with peers of the same grade-level/content area to promote collaboration to its fullest.

CCS and SMART are looking for grant applicants that:

  • are Certified, current full-time or part-time elementary pre-K - 5th grade teachers, including SEI and Special Education.
  • have at least one-year of SMART Board and/or SMART Notebook experience and have attended training either online, at your school site, or any other form
  • want to increase your skills in creating dynamic SMART Notebook lesson activities

Fill out the application and submit your 2-3 minute video, showcasing how "SMART" you are by Midnight on Sunday, March 31st, 2013. If selected, grantees will receive: Summit registration, meals and snacks, 16 hours of professional development credit, gifts, etc. Hotel accommodations, if needed, are the responsibility of the individual and can be reserved at a discounted cost of $89++ per room.

This application is designed to provide insight into your experience level when applying for the SMART Content Creation Summit, hosted by CCS Presentation Systems on June 18th and 19th. Please complete and submit the application (including video) no later than Midnight on March 31st, 2013.

Video Application Guidelines

Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes and can be filmed using your iPad, iPhone, Smart phone, or any other digital device. Be Yourself! We want to get to know who you are as a person and educator. Videos should include the use of SMART Notebook during a lesson(s), showing both teacher and student interaction. Testimonials by teachers and/or students stating how SMART has increased student engagement and learning. Most importantly, be CREATIVE and have fun with it!

Please be sure to label your video file with your name, school, and grade level.

The video file size cannot exceed 100 MB.

The video you upload must have an extension of MOV, MP4, AVI, WMV, or FLV.
